Wolf Commercial Real Estate (WCRE) recently wrapped up its ninth annual WCRE Thanksgiving Food Drive in November. Shortly after the food drive, the WCRE team started their first annual toy drive, partnering with a local non-profit, The Unforgotten Haven in Blackwood, New Jersey.
The firm spent the past few weeks collecting new toys for all children of all ages from friends, clients, and colleagues throughout the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. The Unforgotten Haven was collecting toys for families receiving social services in Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties and two domestic violence shelters.
WCRE donated $1000 worth of brand-new toys for children of all ages receiving assistance. The toy drive is part of WCRE’s Community Commitment program, which also includes donating a portion of the proceeds from transactions to one of several local charities.
In 2016, WCRE formed The WCRE Foundation to manage and oversee our community fundraising efforts and donations. To date, The WCRE Foundation has successfully raised approximately $510,000 from its community commitment efforts.
Currently, WCRE and The WCRE Foundation support Bancroft, Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, the American Cancer Society, I AM ALS, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice and the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. We also offer our clients the option to designate the charitable portion of their transaction to a charity of their choice.
The Unforgotten Haven is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the less fortunate, human and animals alike. They are a strictly a volunteer based organization in which 100% of the profits and proceeds are given entirely back to the community. The Haven was founded in 2014 after helping a single family and blossomed into serving families all over the South Jersey community but not limiting the hurricane relief missions for Florida, Louisiana and North Carolina. They have over 20+ different outreach projects and programs for veterans, homeless, chemo patients, pediatric patients and more! Their ongoing project is the weekly pantry where they assist families with toiletries, essentials and food.
